The job will be mostly involve loading vehicles, driving to customers' homes, manual handling beds and furniture into room of choice and some assembly of furniture. The job also involves all aspects of a retail furniture business such as dealing with customers in person and on the phone, advising on purchases, basic administrative work, keeping showrooms and warehouses tidy and safe. All necessary training will be given.
Full driving licence required, van driving experience would be an advantage. We would expect the successful applicant to be willing, reliable, a good time keeper, well presented, cheerful, outgoing and confident when dealing with the public, able to work under the supervision of the management and also using his/her own initiative.
Flexibility to work extra hours and or alternative days when needed, to cover holidays and sickness, is a requirement.
£8.72 per hour (age 25)
It is expected that the hours will be a minimum average of 24 hrs per week over 3 or 4 days including some Saturdays. Usually between 9am-5.30pm – but later on occasion. The successful applicant must be willing and able to work extra days/hours when required. Wages are paid on or around the 6th of the month for hours worked up to and including the 5th of the month.
